Meet Jeremiah & Nicole
We’re Jeremiah and Nicole, a Christian homeschooling family in Minnesota, and Faith Filled Learning is written from inside our own homeschool. Right now we’re teaching a 9-year-old and a 7-year-old side by side at the kitchen table.
Our umbrella program is Mother of Divine Grace, a classical curriculum that pulls together a mix of well-loved books instead of one boxed set. Inside that framework our 7-year-old uses Abeka Arithmetic and our 9-year-old uses Saxon Math, along with books like Intermediate Language Lessons and The Harp and Laurel Wreath. Our homeschool is screen-free.
We haven’t gotten everything right the first time. We tried Classical Conversations and it wasn’t the right fit for our family, and we’ve homeschooled in two different states, so we know what it feels like to start over with new rules and paperwork. When we review a curriculum we’ve actually used, we say so. When we haven’t, we tell you that too and share what other families report.
Our kids’ grandparents live close by, and some of our best school days end with the kids showing their work to Grandma and Grandpa.
